Photography workshop
A series of photography workshops run by Florian Braakman. Disposable cameras are given to children to document their own city. A playful way to learn about analog photography and show their life through their eyes. The results were exhibited in the container’s next stop, Rotterdam. In Genoa the workshop was held in collaboration with the organisation Il Cesto
Exhibition-Port Narratives
A fine art exhibition located inside the container. Two artists, from each port, share the space for a duo exhibition on the subject of home and belonging.
Valentina Fusco from Genoa presents her work eMovere and Florian Braakman from Rotterdam presents his work In Between Home.
The exhbition was presented in front of the MEI museum in Genoa, with the support of the local organisation U-BOOT lab and the Maritime Museum in Rotterdam as part of the Maritime Festival 2023.
Video interviews-El camino te lleva solo
A series of short videos where migrant business owners share their stories in the ports we visit. In our first stop,Genoa, we interviewed store owners in the multicultural area of via Pre.
Painting workshop
Sails traveled back and forth from Genoa to Rotterdam, where children from both cities used them as a canvas. They painted where they dream to travel and the results where exposed in the Galata and in the Maritime museum.
